Spring Break!

So...it has been a while! How is everyone doing? Well i have decided that i exactly 1 week, i will be dring out to Utah to visit my mom! It is going to be a very long drive, but im actually looking forward to it! I will be driving from Visalia to San Diego, the to Utah. I'll be staying for 5 days, then drive back to SD and then back up to Visalia! A lot of driving!(not looking forward to that part!) Well, i would like for some prayer, keep it upm i appreciate it! Wrok is pretty hecktic these past few days, baseball season starting up. I will be talking to a guy in a few days and kind of shadowing him as to find out if i would like to get into his field of work(designing and building advancements for small planes/private jets). I think it would be fun, but we'll see. i fi do this, i would move from COS to Reedley community college and do the aviation AA. its like a 2 year process, but apparently a fun occupation and makes you a pretty penny quick! Sounds good to me! Well, keep it real all! Peace!

Whats up!!

Man things have been busy lately. school, work, church, and then i wake up a few hours after i crawl into bed, and i do it again!! I think this is a normal schedule for a college student? Well, for the past few days, a group of students and others have been on campus promoting a Pro-Life campaign. Dont get me wrong, i am totally against abortion and the things surrounding it, but i dont think the way they are apporaching it is right. There pamhplet reads, 'American Naxi'. It caught my attention, but when reading it, the whole article is comparing Americans to Germans in the subject of abortion and the Holocaust. Then there was a lot of facts of blacks and stats surrounding them in the nations ranking of abortion rates. i think that in order to have a successful and well put arguement, you need to have several facts frim many different feilds (in this case races). I dont know, they asked me to help them in the debate, but i refused. i dont want people to think of me as one who is for abortion, but i reallr dont want to be a part in THEIR fight. Was i wrong in this decision?

Starting Off

Well, this is my first blog. For those of you who dont know me, I am John. I am 18 years old and live in Visalia, Ca. The reason for the blog title is simple; but, theres a story...
I spent the last 5 months living and working up at a camp called Calvin Crest in the Yosemite mountains. It has been a place for me and several others to serve God and to grow in and through Him. I made the decision (for the most part last minute) to leave camp after the semesters end and venture back home where i would continue my journey with Jesus Christ. Since i have been home several things have happened. I got a small job (which was actually onlt for a week!!), a buisness my friend zach and i started 2 years ago got going again very quickly, and i was hired on as a intern at my church. I will spend a period of volunteered time each week at my church focusing half of my responsibilities on Jr. High ministry, and the other half on college minitsry. This position is very exciting for me because i enjoy working with the youth around me and now am able to encourage my peers to join me in my walk. I pray that this opportunity/ step in my faith will be fruitful and meaningful for myself and those who have been so supportive.
I offer this blog to be an opportunity for everyone to comment and to give advise and encourage myself and those to whom will be associated with the site. Thank You and God Bless!!
